Often giving you one of the largest room in the house, a loft conversion can really improve the quality of living space within the home. With regulations relaxed in early 2009 its now much easier to convert your loft without the added pressure of gaining planning permission, although certain types of loft conversions will still require permission.

Here at SGC Building Solutions we have exp[erience in converting all types of loft spaces into many different types of rooms including bedrooms, playrooms, hide-aways and home offices. This option creates additional headroom within the conversion and is often the preferred option for smaller loft spaces which arent suitable for a rooflight conversion. If an additional bathroom is wanted along with the rooms the increased space created by the Dormer provides extra height above the fittings.

This option is for people looking for a smaller loft conversion, normally for a single bedroom or study etc where adequate height is available within the existing loft space. Velux windows are simply added to the front and rear of the roof to give added natural light and there is minimal disruption to your property..
